Once again, I’ve been surprised—for the most part—by the yields we’re seeing this year. It seems this year will continue the above-normal yield trends we’ve seen over the past four years.
With those high yields, of course, comes high nutrient removal. We’re seeing the proof in lower soil test levels. So, my simple advice is this—if you want to keep taking truckloads of crops off your fields, you’ll need to haul a few truckloads of fertilizer back on.
If you don’t know where your nutrient levels are, we’re happy to soil test for you. We’re also ready to apply fertilizer this fall once your crops are out. With commodity prices where they are, every bushel counts, so make sure your crops have the nutrients they need for top yields.
